Worship
Our services are liturgical: the congregation reads, confesses, sings, and prays together.
Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy hill, for holy is the LORD our God. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing.
At King’s Cross we believe the Holy Scriptures teach us that man was created to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
God’s people are commanded to continually devote themselves to private worship, family worship, and corporate worship with the saints in the public assemblies of the local church on the Lord’s Day. Therefore we gather corporately for worship on the Lord’s Day, with the service organised in terms of covenant renewal.
Covenant Renewal
Every Lord's Day follows the same five movements.
Call
God calls His people into His presence.
Confession
He cleanses them as they confess their sins.
Consecration
He consecrates them by His Word and Spirit.
Communion
He communes with them at the Holy Table.
Commission
He commissions them to go forth and build Christ's kingdom, faithful in their respective callings.
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will worship before You. For the kingdom is the LORD's, and He rules over the nations.

If This Is New to You
Our services are liturgical in nature, which means the congregation is involved with responsive reading, confession, singing, and prayer. If this type of service is new to you, there is no need to worry — our liturgy is laid out in full in the bulletins available each Sunday before the service.
Our services are family oriented, and children of all ages are welcome to be not only present but involved. It is a joy to us when they are.
Visitors are welcome, and we look forward to connecting with you.
Communion
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper each Lord’s Day with bread and wine. Communion is for all the Lord’s people, and so we practise open communion: we encourage all baptized Christians to celebrate the feast of communion and feed upon Christ.
Communion is integral to the act of confession, repentance, renewal, and abiding in Christ. It should be received by all baptized covenant members — including baptized children being raised in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.

Fellowship
We aim to enjoy a homemade meal and fellowship together once a month, on the third Sunday. If you are visiting, please do not feel obliged to bring food — there is plenty to go around.
After the meal and some hearty fellowship, we invite you to stay and join us for joyful singing of Psalms and hymns.
Finding Us
We are thankful for the facilities God has graciously provided for us to gather together in Coaldale.
